A mondo film is a documentary film usually depicting sensational topics, scenes, and situations. Animal rights, accidents, tribal initiation rites, death, surgeries and the extremities of popular culture are common features of a typical mondo ‘shockumentary’.

ksubi took inspiration from this genre to create the narrative for its new range. Abstracting themes of popular culture; the irony of life, multi-cultural icons, mass destruction, poverty and teenage subcultures feature with silhouettes inspired by oversexed New Jersey housewives and the heckling boys from the local car park.
