In 2006 ksubi journeyed to the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert, and than across the United States from the west coast to east, arriving in New York on 9/11 with an eight-foot-high sculpture in tow. The sculpture titled, Sign of the Times, demonstrated a hand forming a peace sign – index fingers sliced. with blood spilling from the cuts. A tongue in cheek statement questioning unscrupulous politics and the current state of world peace.
